Jump Drive

    HELP!!!

    My book was saved on my jumpdrive and I have accidentally deleted it :(

    How can I retrieve it? Undelete?

    It is not in the laptop recycle bin!

    I am using Windows XP.

    Oh please help!!

    Whatever data you 'accidentally deleted' is GONE. Once you delete the data from those jumpdrives they are gone, it's not like "undeleting" data from a hard drive.

    I found a free recovery program that has recovered all of the files (4 Word, 1 Excel, and 3 Pdf), however only 7 of the 8 actually open correctly. Of course the post important file - another Word Document - does not open correctly.

    Of course it is the most important file. :(

    According to their website, that software only works for

    "...CONVAR for Flash Cardâ„¢, Smart Mediaâ„¢, SONY Memory Stickâ„¢, IBMâ„¢ Micro Drive, Multimedia Card, Secure Digital Card or any other data carrier for digital cameras.. "

    I use several flash memories and I've found that any file is equivalent; e.g., I have stored and retrieved text and other files on my camera without difficulty.
    There's nothing special about graphic files, they're just bits, like all files.
