Netscape 4.79

Hello, all of a sudden when ever I click on Netscape, it launches then dissapears all in about 1 second. I tried to uninstall and re but no luck. Any ideas ?

Hi Bimmer Guy,

Try this:
Close Communicator
Open Windows Explorer
Navigate to: C:\WINDOWS
Look for this file: nsreg.dat
Rename the file Xnsreg.dat

Cross fingers, start Communicator. Are you up and running?

Are you saying that you had no luck uninstalling, or that you uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't help?

When you try to start Netscape, and nothing happens, do a CTRL+ALT+DEL. Is Netscape Listed in the Task Manager? If so End Task and then try starting Netscape.

Do a "Find" for talkback, and delete the three files that are found:
talkback.exe
talkback.hlp
talkback.cnt

Next:
Do a "Find" for talkback.dll and delete the file

These are the Quality Feedback Agent files, which often cause problems.

Ramona: I uninstalled and reinstalled and did'nt work. I formated and it's fine. I was do for it anyways.
