Hey... its me again.. anyways my harddrive failed and now i had to install windows xp on the new hard drive. Now here's my problem, I can't seem to get my internet connection working. I use a belkin 4-port wired router, and every ither time i installed windows the internet just worked as soon as i started the computer. I'm pretty sure all the required services are on, and the settings are correct, Does anyone have any ideas?

Try the easy way first, like call your ISP. They have a vested interest in getting you on line.

They wont help me because its a software problem, and the internet still works on two of my other comps.

That's some ISP you have there! The normal standard of care would dictate that they help you with any software problems that affect your connection. If you have a hardware problem, I can understand that they would not want to get involved.

Have you tried accessing directly, I mean without the router in the loop?

Beyond that, have you tried Control Panel > Network Connections > New Connection Wizard?
