Is this adware check OK?

This site has a free download to check for adware on my computer.
If I download it will it clean the ads off or just give me a report to scare me into buying the paid package?

Based on information from Here I'd avoid this one. In fact, I'd avoid any of them other than the ones listed in Quicklinks (see my signature).

Some of the others might well be fine but the ones we have listed are free, effective, safe, and do a fine job of removal.

Note that NoAdware uses the same ref file for it's scans as Ad-aware.

Got it downloaded ,scanned, and quarantined. I`ve got to do some reading now like, should I delete the quarantined files, how often to run,etc. Really appreciate the assist.
