I have a ladyfreind that does company work from her laptop, using an email system (Outlook) on a server, I think via "Citrix" supplied software (?). She occaisionally wants to attach files that are on the laptop hard drive, but when she is logged into the company server, she cannot "see" anything on the laptop.

Last weekend, hurriedly, I showed her how to mimimize everything, then copy the WORD file that she wanted to email from her laptop hard drive, then going back to the server software, pasting it into a copy of WORD there, saving it, then attaching it in Outlook.

As a quick fix, that worked, but in retro I am wondering if there isn't an easier way for her to accomplish this process, particularly since she also needs to attach files other than WORD files, i.e. jpegs, etc...

My company uses Citrix also. The easiest thing to do would be to map her c: drive to her Citrix login.

While in Citrix right click on My Computer and select Map Network Drive, pick the drive letter and then click Browse. Click the + sign next to Client Network. This is where it gets really slow so be patient, eventually a list of available drive will come up including the floppy drive and CD Rom drive. Pick the C: drive and OK all the way out.
