I have Printmaster 7.0 installed on my computer at work.

I need to know how to get the program to recognize where I installer the CD on the hard drive. I installed the "Program CD" onto hard drive, sh I did not have to put the CD in all the time.

When Printmaster starts to load, it say install program cd.

    Running Windows 98SE.

    Thanks, Mark

The usual way round this is to copy the installation CD to the hard drive, remove the CD from the drive and install the program from the hard drive copy - works with most programs - but not all. Is this what you did?

    Thanks Pete C,

Yes, that is what I did, but still askes for CD when I load program.

Ya know? Come to think of it, I may have still had CD in drive when I loaded from copy on hard drive.

So maybe I should try re-installing with disk in drive?

    Thank you, mark

Try it all ways round, but not all installations from CD play ball in this respect :)

The alternative solution is to use a Virtual CD ROM drive - i.e. a software drive - they are designed for just this purpose, especially for gamers.

I have no knowledge/experience of these - a Google search brings up plenty of hits or feel free to start another thread with Virtual CD ROM in the title line.

Just wanted to let you know.....

I tried to install from having installation disk copied to hard drive. Still asks for the program CD to run.

So, I guess I will look more into the Virtual CD drive

    Thanks for all the help

    Mark
