I'm wondering if for those running NAV anti-vius's whether they have recieved an update from Symantec for accomodation to SP2 through LiveUpdate.

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2004080212383739?Open&src=ivr_na_con

    http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/sp2/faq.html?src=ivr_na_con#10

The second page is Symantec software that's affected. My reading is that for those running only NAV - no update necessary. Wanted to confirm that.

    Regards - Charles

Yes I received it. And instantly XP Sp2 stopped telling me my system was at risk.

Currently, only the 2004 flavour is getting the WMI update through LiveUpdate or any other means. I had a mail converstion with SS (Symantec Support) regarding WMI on the earlier flavours (2002-03) and was informed that the WMI update for 2002-03 will be available during the last week of August.

Not a big issue for me ...... ;) ...... since SP2 at present time, is still only available in English, German and Korean ...... :( ...... !

    Thanks Christer for the info.

I guess I'll get nagged by SP2 for a while, or just shut the nag off.

It could be that I missed this information on the board but don't think it's been posted. This may be of interest you.

    Hi Mudd,

Yes, have seen that - Abraxas posted it originally. Should be posted as much as possible, maybe a good idea to make it a "sticky ". Going to suggest it.

    Regards - Charles
