Anybody got a simple media player to use for radio?

I've tried Real Player, QuickTime, and Windows Media Player, and none of them are very satisfactory for what I want. I'm just trying to play radio over a DSL connection, on a Win 98SE machine with what seemed like plenty of RAM a little while ago - 128 MB. I'm not interested in the radio listings that the players want to offer, and I'm not going to be using it for movies or MP3s or anything else, just local radio. It's the malware that seems to come with these things that really drives me nuts, but I don't want the fabulous graphics or the extra doodads that seem to be part of them, either.

I don't have all the problems people complain of with Real and WMP. Yes they are a bit bloated and Real includes an annoying web browser! If you're prepared to spend time configuring them properly then they work fine for streaming radio/audio.
Remember that as the streaming stations encode in real or WMP file format, any alternative has to emulate these formats. I'd just stick with the originals.
Not sure about your comment on malware?

I don't have any trouble with the originals, either, though I have dumped Real and QT for the alternatives and now play all those formats in WMP.

Here is a radio. It's not much to look at and may not have your stations, but it is free:

For a very good (but also bloated unless you love extra control) all-in-one player that plays almost all formats and has radio:
