Hi everyone. Sorry if this gets asked a lot, but I am going to format soon and was wondering if for an average user, it would be better to go with windows xp home or pro. I have heard that xp pro is faster and more stable and was wondering if that was true. I have also heard that the main difference is the security features included on pro. (I have pro on another computer, so I have seen some of the differences). Anyway, I was just wondering if it is worth it to upgrade to pro (I already have it, so money is not an object) or stick with home? Thanks a lot guys!

XP Pro is no faster/slower than Home, nor is it more stable.
Advanced security is something you get in XP Pro (there's only simple file permissions on Home, for example) and also things like remote management don't come included.

There's a couple of good articles which should give you all the information you need - hope they help:
