    Hello

I have never done this before and could kick myself as I think I have done it the wrong way around - I upgraded my sons computer and formatted the hard drive - The Floppy would not work so I used my Win 2000 disk and installed it - The only trouble now is NONE of his games work (Action Man etc)....I have heard that you can have Windows 2000 and Windows 98 on the same system - Does anyone know how I do this - I have partition magic etc

    Really Appreciate any input.

    Thanks in advance x :)

By far the easiest way is to set up at least two partitions then install 98. After that when you go to install 2K it will see the 98 portion and you can easily put 2K on the other partition for a 'dual boot' PC so you can choose which to use at start up time.

At this point you can still do the deed but it won't be as easy.

First off, is your floppy problem with the disk you tried to use or with the floppy drive itself?

    NFTS to FAT 32

I did the same thing. I went from 98 FAT 32 system to 2000 NFTS. I then used the FDISK and somehow used the partition function to reload my 98. Now my C drive is showing as completely full and it shouldn't be. I would love to know how to get rid of the 2000 NFTS system. It is quite frustrating because I have tried using DOS mode and my computer. I tried with a boot disk.

    HELP Anyone....

WIN 2000 & WIN 98 ON SAME SYSTEM

    Hello

The floppy problem is hardware - Little boy killed it a while ago - I totally forgot!

OK I installed WIN 2000 on a FAT32. Can I still install win 98? How do I do it? Partition Drive into 2 parts - The minute WIN98 sees 2000 it won't install or will it?

You want my advice? Forget Win98. Just reformat the whole drive as NTFS and use Windows2000. I have done several computers this way and I have fewer problems in the end. Yes, the games will need to be reinstalled, but that is how I prefer to do it.

Magicsolo, What do you mean FAT and NTFS? Do you mean two partitions? Your answer confused me.

You misunderstand meaning of me, format C disc(Install the systematic) with NTFS to I mean , format the rest disc with FAT32 (For example D disc,E disc and F disc with FAT32).
Such a result is better !
If my answer confused you last time, I felt terribly sorry !
