Can CDs burned with Record Now have files added to on a pc with Easy CD Creator? And vice versa.

    Hi Eleanor,
No one has answered your question so far, so I'll give you my limited experience. I write disks with nero, but I've used EZ CD Creator. Either will allow you to create a multisession CD. I believe Record Now will also. However, I've found that even using the same program on two different computers doesn't work satisfactorily, even with RW disks, but I've not had computers with identical drives.

    Why do you ask?

I have a friend with a new laptop with Record Now and I want to save some files for her to CD with my Easy CD Creator.

If I understand you correctly, you can write the files to a CD readable in her drive and she can create a folder on her hard disk to which to copy them, and then burn them with Record Now. She might even put the CD in her drive and call up Record Now to make a copy.

I've found that files written to a RW disk can be read on the other computer, but trying to add files either overwrites what's there, both computers using Nero, or writes the files so they can be seen by the writer but not by the first computer. I don't understand what's going on, but I've not been successful adding to the same disk on another computer.

    Have you tried this?

I've always thought multi-session disks to be iffy at best. If I want to continue to write to a disk, I'll just use packet writing.
