Thank you very much Ramona for giving me directions on posting on this forum. I've read many of the messages, and you are all SO Smart. I've solved two problems already from reading thru the messages, I had the installer Bug and was not able to copy and paste anything into my Emails. I added the user.js file and the lines that were recommended.

However, I am still not able to copy and paste from my Paint Shop Program and paste the image into an email. I was able to do it easily when using NS 4.79. Do I need to add more script to my User file? It seems 7.1 is a bit pickier on what I can copy and paste. sighhhhhhhhh.

I am also very confused as to whether I am using NS7.1 or Mozilla? I see all these directions for adding the patch to Mozilla, and other helpful info. I seem to have NS7.1 and Mozilla, so am I using both programs?

I am hoping that version 7.2 corects these little glitches, but if I can fix them before 7.2 comes out, perhaps I will be ahead of the game. I can hope. LOL

Any ides and help would be appreciated, and if I've posted incorrectly, please let me know so I can follow the rules correctly.

Thanks to all of you who so freely give of your time and energy to help those of us challenged with new versions. Hugs from Tish :)

I don't know about the first two paragraphs, but there is a way of adding images, without copying and pasting in NS7.1. If you use HTML mail, you will see a toolbar when you get into Compose. The next to the last item, next to the Smileys, is "Image ". You have a number of choices, and whatever needs to be done is fairly self explanatory.
As for the Netscape vs Mozilla, you can do whatever you want, as long as you install your programs in different directories, and never share Netscape and Mozilla profiles.
You may be getting confused by the fact that all profiles, Netscape or Mozilla are in the Mozilla folder on the hard drive. If you don't see a shortcut you don't have Mozilla.
Nothing wrong about using Mozilla instead of Netscape, unless you must have Netscape Webmail accessible in Mail (it does not work well, anyway), and need the AOL junk. Netscape is based on Mozilla, anyway and might give you grief if you have both NS and Moz.
Let us know about your Image question.

    Welcome to the Forum, Tish!

    Hi Tish,

To verify your Browser Version, click on Help | About Netscape

If this is what your browser shows, then you know it is Netscape. If it is Mozilla, then it will say "About Mozilla" Go ahead and click on About Netscape. Your User Agent string should be similar to this:
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Netscape/7.1 (ax)

To reiterate Westside's instructions: when you set up your browser for sending messages, and you want to send images, then use HTML for sending. This setting can be found in the Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings. Highlight the Account name, and in the right pane at the bottom of the page, you will see a checkbox for: "Compose Messages in HTML Format "

Once this setting is enabled then in the Mail Composition window, click on the "Insert" tab, or the icon just to the left of the smiley, as Westside suggests.

Copy and Paste from Paint Shop Pro - Thank You

Thank you all for helping me out with the image problem. I can do the insert without any problem, and I did check, I am using netscape.

I use the copy and paste a lot with some of the Yahoo groups I am in, and someitmes I will help out a member by creating a screen shot, and it would not be an image I'd want to save, it's just something I want to copy and paste in a quick message to help them out.

It has worked in all previous versions of Netscape, so I don't understand why it doesn't work now. I will play around and see what I can come up with, sure don't want to go back to 4.79 now, I'm already spoiled. : )

    Hugs from Tish

What you are trying to accomplish can only be done by either inserting, attaching, or right click and drag the screen shots into the Mail window. You can't copy/past, but can drag/drop.
