    "Is it clean "? In a word, no. Not horrible but you do have some nasties that need to go and some optional items that would go if they were on my PC. I may have missed some stuff but here is what I spotted with a quick run-thru of your log:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART
    Spyware, Yuck, bad stuff. P2P needs to be removed. See the instructions in post #4 Here for removal instructions. This needs to be the first thing you do. The reference to LSPFix is a utility that will fix your Winsock if some of the removals break it. Since you can't get to the internet if Winsock is broken, you need to download and store the fix before you start cleaning.
    The rest of this can pretty well be removed by running Hijackthis again and checking the noted items.
    C:\WINDOWS\Hcontrol.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Hcontrol] C:\WINDOWS\Hcontrol.exe - hot key control on ASUS laptops. Needed only if you run that brand AND use the hot keys. Otherwise just chewing up resources for no good reason.
    Get rid of these
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {965A592F-8EFA-4250-8630-7960230792F1} - (no file)
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{00D6A7E7-4A97-456f-848A-3B75BF7554D7 - (no file)
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497 - (no file)
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {00D6A7E7-4A97-456f-848A-3B75BF7554D7} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SiS KHooker] C:\WINDOWS\System32\khooker.exe - Placed in startup by the SiS video card. Not needed at startup and I'd remove it.
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SiSUSBRG] C:\WINDOWS\sisUSBrg.exe - sisUSBrg.exe is a registry patch that you do need with SiS and XP but once applied, no reason I can see to keep loading it. I'd get rid of this entry as well.
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
    Legit but nothing I'd want running at startup. I'd get rid of these entries.
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qpphhc] C:\WINDOWS\System32\qpphhc.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [slmss] C:\Program Files\Common Files\slmss\slmss.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mwsvm] C:\WINDOWS\mwsvm.exe
    More spyware - very likely invited in by the P2P thing.
    Possibly another ASUS file but not sure. Probably worth sassomiro making a tech support call to them to ask.
