Yesterday, I updated my Windows 2000 Pro. with a security patch suggested by automatic windows update to enhance IE security. Since it required restart, I did it but the system halted and I had to restart from hardware. Since then, I can't see bookmarks in my Netscape 7.1. The bookmarks exist because when I search, they're listed in the Bookmark Manager. I tried, rename, copy and import of bookmarks.html file in the *.slt folder but it didn't work. I don't know what else to do. For more information, when I browse the bookmarks.html with IE, the only thing I see is the word "Bookmarks ". A prompt reply is really appreciated. Thanks.

    The problem still persists

My profile such as Mail and addressbook is working properly. I've already implemented the advice in the links referred here. I looked at the *.lts folder and the only html file I found was what that didn't show its content. I exactly followed the procedure suggested in the links, and the show-hiddin-files option was also selected. So for sure there was no other html file in that folder.
I've also reinstalled the full version of Netscape 7.1 and restarted the computer but still I don't see my bookmarks unless in a query. As it seems, my bookmarks are not deleted just I can't access them. If it helps, when I point the cursor in the bookmars area the sign corresponding to a hyperlink appears (a hand) but when I click nothing happens. Moreover I can save new bookmarks and they can be seen in the bookmarks tab.

Reinstalling the program does nothing to your bookmarks, because they are in the profile. And, it is not clear to me if you just don't see the bookmarks when you are in your program, and click on Bookmarks on the top toolbar, and go to Manage bookmarks. Can you confirm that you have tried that? There is no other complete way to work with the bookmarks.

I clicked on the bookmarks in the top toolbar and opened the bookmark manager and I didn't see anything under the bookmark.
What I am doing now is enter a character in the search box and add the displayed links to the bookmarks again. This way I can see the newly added bookmarks which is tedius. Any other suggestions? I'll promise to keep an up-to-date back up henceforth.
