CDROM Drive letters assignment

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me how to swap the drive letters assigned to two cdrom drives in my computer?

    Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management. You'll see what to do when you get in there.

    If you are just trying to swap the letter designation you may have to take an intermediate step of giving one of them some other letter temporarily, as you can't reletter a drive with an exisitng letter.

    I call my DVD ROM "M" (movie), my CD RW, "W" (writer) and my CD ROM "R" (reader). Otherwise, I can't remember such!

    Don't know about XP, but with 98 SE, I do Right click My Computer> Properties> Device Manager> open + CDRom> Tick on drive> properties.

    Just a tip - It's easier to get there with Start > Run > dskmgmt
