Trojan Horse Downloader istbar.4.g

I can normally get rid of spyware, etc, but this one is in a file called activex.dll in my Downloaded Program Files folder and cannot be deleted with normal virus software such as, AVG. Has anyone seen this virus or know how I can get rid of it?

Before you start using HijackThis please move hijackthis.exe to a folder of it´s own.
The program creates backups in the folder it is in. if in a temp they will get deleted in time.

Start Hijackthis and place a check next to these items,
Close all browser windows and shut down all other programs that show in the taskbar. (even Folders)
R3 - URLSearchHook: URLSearchHook Class - {37D2CDBF-2AF4-44AA-8113-BD0D2DA3C2B8} - C:\Program Files\NZSearch\SearchEnh1.dll

Then Hit fix checked.

Restart the PC find and delete
C:\Program Files\NZSearch
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ossproxy.exe

If your av program still has problems with the file in downloaded program files go here(ive found this one to be especialy good with those)
and if anything is found choose delete not clean

I have been hijacking, virusjacking and going nuts all day long cleaning my system. It's amazing how much junk get into a system. I think I am clean again, but time will tell. Thanks for your help.

Bob, you might also want to download and install IEspyads, little extra protection.
