If I have two user accounts on this computer, with admin rights, shouldn't each be able to keep their own hardware settings?

That would be nice but even with XP, some settings are Global (all users). Video settings is probably the area where most folks would like to have it 'per user' but it just can't be done except by the method my wife and I use.

    His and Hers PCs.

What about one user keeping a static IP (adhoc mode) in network connections and the other keeping the IP in "Find Automatic?"
