I'm not sure if this is an IE problem or Windows, or maybe even WinZip but if I download a .ZIP file and it stops due to a bad download, I won't be able to download it again. When I press the download button the d/l box will come up for a split second and then the WinZip screen that opens up the file comes up, it's like it thinks that I downloaded the entire file and it's just opening it for me again. I tried choosing "Save As" and downloading the file under a different name, I've tried downloading it to a floppy disk, but I can't fool whatever makes it do that! Can anyone help?

Try deleting the contents of the Temporary Internet Files folder and empty the browser's cache then try the download again.

I think the easiest way to delete the temp files is to go to Start>Run, type in "%temp%" (without the quotes), click OK. Then press Ctrl and the "a" key to select everything and delete all the sub-folders and files which are in the folder that opens. If it says it can't delete a specific file, hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and click on the stubborn file once to deselect it (or just point at it if you have your computer set to open things with one click instead of two) and delete the rest.

To empty the browser's cache: Internet Explorer>Tools>Internet Options>General tab>Delete files button.
