i'm going to trade some stuff with a guy, and one of the things he's offering is one of 2 video cards, a geforce 3 64mb agp card, or a geforce 4 128mb pci card, he tells me that the geforce 3 is alot better then the geforce 4 despite the amount of mb difference simply because it is an agp slot card instead of pci, is that true, or is he trying to get me to choose the junkier card?

The "3" is an older card but AGP is much better technology? The actual model number might help the serious geeks here to give you an answer.

    Value or Usefulness?

The PCI GeForce 4 w/128mb is worth more $ than the AGP GeForce 3 w/64mb. Now, as to your use of it, thats a different ballgame - PCI cards run on a 33mhz BUS while AGP cards run on a 66mhz BUS. If you plan to use it, thats one thing but if you want to sell it, the pCI w/128 should fetch more $.

    ;)

    the cards are geforce3 ti200 and geforce4 mx 4000

i'm probly gonna be using the card i get, i'm just having a mental block when it comes to choosing the 64mb card over the 128mb one :p but if you guys say the 64mb one is better, i'll probly pick that one :)

    thanks for the help
