Have to ask->What did you expect would happen?

    Have you looked in
    C:\Documents and Settings\UserName
To see if there was anything left?

    Hi,

It was a mistake. We thought, we have saved the registry in admin mode.

We searched C:\Documents and Settings\UserName but nothing was available.

    Pl help us.

I looked on MS knowledgebase and didn't see anything. You might want to double check.

You also might want to NOT use the pc and look for a data recovery tool.

i am not aware of any normal means to recover those files. If that data is critical, now is the time to turn off that machine and contact a data recovery service. Did you have a backup?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

We dont have any backup for that machine.

We are not using the machine anyway.

Are there any data recovery tools downloadable online?

    Rgds,

Do a search with Google for data recovery or, windows data recovery. Not sure if there are many useable freeware ones, but maybe a free trial period on shareware products that may help you? Looks to be a few options out there.

Ontrack easy recovery pro will do the job, I have used it to get back data after a full format and re-install of an OS! The trial version will view all deleted files, but will only recover Word documents and Zip files, so if you have lost any other file-types you will have to buy the software or maybe find another product.

I am sure there are loads of them, but I only have experience with this one.

    Hope this helps
