I have done rather nicely the last few weeks on computers :) To see a pic of the stuff I got, check out these 2 pics 1 and 2 .
Ok... now my question.... Today I inherited about a dozen SCSI hdds , some even still wrapped in the factory seals. From what I can tell they are 4.3 gig drives, and are made by Digital , part # RZ29B-VW. My question is, can these drives be taken out and used as regular hdd's?
    TIA for your help,

    Holy Moley »â„¢Ã‘¡ckÅ¡FË4X«!

What a nice collection of treasures! I hope they're not all 486's or less. :)

Yes the SCSI drives are usable in any machine that has a SCSI controller on the MOBO or any machine that has a SCSI card installed. Any Apple computer users around where you're at? SCSI is their standard item.

Maybe some of those old machines have SCSI cards, you might get lucky again.

You can tell the SCSI from an IDE or EIDE because its data socket is much wider.

    Regards

Slowest I've found is 120mhz, atleast 2 233's with 64mb, 4 gig hdd.... loading W98 on it as I type :) The majority of the laptops are 166/133's. Turned out to be a nice haul for sure. Hope it's awhile before I get another one that big <least til I can sort them out :) >
