    BOX HEADED EXPLORER APPEARS says explorer caused an invalid page fault in module MSVCRT.DLL AT 0187:78009047.Then whatever i am doing is shutdown,I operate windows 98 this happens regular.

    Wow, i get same error but it don't seem to kill my connection .. just open IE again and everything fine. Can't correlate with anything though. Can't find any virus or spy either. Maybe just cranky Internet Explorer ?

    The information in this Microsoft Knowledge Base article should point you in the right direction.

    While the title refers to Hyperterminal, further down you'll see that "Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module Msvcrt.dll" is one of the error messages it addresses.
