    Hi guys,

I just formatted and re-installed WIN98SE last week,
installed Ad-Aware, Spy-Bot, HijackThis, ZoneAlarm Pro, AVG 7.0 as my usual safety pack, just like my previous system two weeks ago.

when i installed Kazaa\Klite\Morphues\iMesh all went smoothly until i run it.

with kazaa & klite i got those 3 weird Errors:

    http://www.geocities.com/liad_leshem/err1.jpg

    http://www.geocities.com/liad_leshem/err2.jpg
    http://www.geocities.com/liad_leshem/err3.jpg

with iMesh i got a recursive-non-ending error alerts that crashed me down
    the same with morphues.

does anybody have an idea what to do?
i really need one of those ****** programs....

Sorry but the site is one that doesn't seem to allow links to pictures.

I saw the pictures just fine. When you installed Spybot, did you use the "Immunize" function? It may be blocking some of the sites you are trying to use in the "Restricted" zone. None of the programs you mentioned are spy-ad ware free. Try www.winmx.com and see if that one behaves any better. No malware, there.

Only other suggestion I have is to uninstall the programs, and reinstall again. The kernel error isn't familiar to me, but maybe someone else with more Win98 experience will chime in.

Let us know how you resolve it!

Here is the first error as an attachment. Wonder why those pages don't open for the rest of you?

No clue but they for sure don't work for us ordinary mortals. Maybe you need a yahoo account or something. Here is the top of what shows up for me.

That dump (from Johanna's picture) looks sorta nasty to me but way beyond any level of expertise I have. Too bad the data dump routine Joe posted is for NT-based systems only.

Any chance you could try the same stuff with a different OS version?

Or if it worked with 98 SE before you had to reload, maybe a problem with the install?

Well, that would explain why I could see the pics- I DO have a Yahoo account.

Did you check Spybot out as the source of the block, yet?

If you need a P2P programme, try xolox. It is one of the few that doesn't have any adware associated with it, just does what it says on the tin.

Despite the propaganda, P2Ps need some ancillary programs (ie spyware) to run. Disable the spyware, disable the P2P.
