Not sure what did the trick, but I was just complaining, yesterday that Firefox cannot be linked to any mail client. I installed the show old extentions extention, but if it did the trick, I have no idea how. To make a long story short doing: View|Toolbar|Customize| drag and drop the Mail icon on the top toolbar, and clicking on it, it tells me that I have X number of messages. Clicking Read will bring up Mozilla1.7.1 which is my default mail. The number of messages given is that of the default mail account.
That's what I have been looking for, since the new regime came in .

    Westside,

Thank you for posting this information for the users here on WinBBS. I know that has been a Firefox annoyance for you, for some time. Glad to hear that you have finally solved it for yourself, and those reading this thread.

    Cheers!

    Ramona,
I don't really care if I have a Suite, like Mozilla, or individual programs, like Firefox and Thunderbird. This, still does not allow me to connect to the mail client of choice, but, at least it is a step in the right direction. K-meleon allows the choice of one external application.
