Trap/ exception Error

    Trap 00000002 Exception error message during boot-up right after bios. The computer will stop at this error. But the computer will boot up after 24 hrs, then go back this error.

    Need more detail.

    - the exact and complete error will be helpful. If it goes by too fast, pressing the 'pause/break' key should stop things so you can copy it down.

    - are you haveing any problems other than seeing the error?

    - try checking your event logs - may be more detail there. start~run~eventvwr.msc

    dhurk, Im still confused by your description..

    You turn on the machine, it displays the DOS looking bios screen, then what.. we need to know exactly how far it got (did it show the XP logo screen, logon prompt etc), and specifially what was on the screen.
