my computer is messed up

ive ran cwshredder, avg and i still cant get my computer fixed.

the problem is that i cant get my computer hooked up to the internet i know its working because my other computer is working. i have them hooked up in a network. when i try and go to a cite it goes to C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\AnteInsideIdol.htm#http://www.hotmail.com/

i deleted that file but it is in recyle bin and it still doesnt work so i am stumped here is my log file

Reboot.
Open C:\\Program Files and delete the folders Toolin~ and GLOBAL~.
Open C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB and rename realsched.exe to realsched.old
Open C:\Windows\Temp, select all and delete.
Open C:\Documents and settings\username\Local Settings\temp, select all and delete. Do this for all usernames.
Open C:\Windows\Prefetch, select all and delete.
Open My Computer, right click Local disk C: and choose properties, then disk cleanup. Check all boxes except compress old files and OK.

Reboot, download the latest version of HijackThis, v1.98, scan again and post a new log.

BTW, not a good idea to have two antivirus programs running. Uninstall or disable one of them.

NVIDIA Driver Helper Service which gets installed under Windows NT4/2000/XP/2003 by the NVIDIA drivers for some of their graphics cards (or graphics cards based on an NVIDIA chipset). We do not at this stage know what this process does except consume memory ! And we also have no idea as to what a "Driver Helper Service" is supposed to do !!

Recommendation :
This service is often responsible for various glitches, from significant shutdown delays to excessive memory usage. Disabling it, however, does not result in our experience in any ill-effect as regards the proper operation of your NVIDIA or NVIDIA chipset graphics card, so we recommend that you definitely set the Startup Mode of this service to Disabled. You can Do this by going to start>run, type services.msc, hit enter. Locate the service in the list and right click>properties.

Scan again with HijackThis and place a check next to the following entry. Close ALL other windows and click fix.

Right click My Computer and choose properties. On system restore tab, check the box to turn off. OK out.

Go to start>run and type msconfig, hit enter. On the boot.ini tab, check the box next to /safeboot and OK. Yes to restart. This will restart your computer in safe mode.

Now in safe mode, open C:\Documents and settings\username\Local Settings\temp, select all and delete. Do not go into the TIF folder at this location! Delete everything in the temp folder.
Open My Computer, right click Local disk C: and choose properties, then disk cleanup. Check all boxes except compress old files and OK.
Uncheck the /safeboot box in msconfig and ok to reboot.

Back in Windows, you can re-enable system restore.
Run another HijackThis scan and post the log.

**You really should disable one of the Antivirus programs you have running!

ill do what you say clean up them temp files but i found out what the problem was it was my either net card. it quit working. i tried my old 1 from my 98 computer and it works fine. thanks for your help

i also have this problem with my computer and out of the blue this **** cite keeps taking over my browser. i delete these 4 things like every 3 days because it returns about every 3 days. i am stumpted. un less it is because i need to delete the 4 things in the temp folder i dont know how to get rid of it

Can I assume those four files still were not deleted, even in safe mode? Install Move-on-boot. It will give you a new right click option when used on files, to 'delete on the next boot'. Use it to tag those files and reboot. Search the drive for win32st.dll and dropper.exe. Delete all found. You will need to have system restore disabled. Download and install Ad-aware, immediately update, configure for a custom full scan and run. Delete all it finds. Then empty the temp folder and recycle bin and reboot again.

Open Spybot and click immunize in the left pane, then immunize again, this time from above with the green + beside it. Click the link below that for SpywareBlaster, download, install and update. Check for updates weekly.
Then download and install IESpyads.

That will give you an added layer of protection against unwanted parasites.

I would also like for you to open regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/AboutURLs. Right click the AboutURLs key and export. Save it to your desktop. Close regedit and right click the reg file on your desktop, then choose 'open with>notepad'. Copy and paste the contents here.
