    Attn: Romona

    Hi

I a problem uninstalling Netscape 4.7 on Windows 2000 (win2k), after doing a search on Google I found this site http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/index6.html Which has a great batch and registry script for removing netscape 4.7 from Windows 98.

I've modified the batch files so they should now work on win2k (well they did for me).

So Romona if you'd like to post the win2k version on your website, shoot me a message. Or anyone else.

    Cheers
    Luke

    Welcome to the Forum, lukem!

    Hi lukem,

I would be delighted to have you post the batch file for W2K. Thanks so much! If you will post it here, then I can add it to the page you found. I will also give you credit for the workaround!

    Ramona :)

    Permissions

    Hi Ramona,

I don't have permission rights to attach files. Are you able to grant me these rights so I can post the batch file? Even if you just turn them off again after I've posted it.

Or I could just include the contents to the two files, they are only text in the end anyway.

    Cheers
    Luke

Just remembered that I hadn't posted the files

Below are the contents of two files, nsregclr_win2k.reg and nsremove_win2k.bat. They are based on Ramona's win98 nsremove script and have been modified for win2k. Standard disclaimers apply.

    Cheers
    Luke

    Hi Luke,

I can't thank you enough for remembering to post the batch and registry file for removing Netscape 4.x on Windows 2000. This will be a nice addition to the Netscape Solutions pages.

I should add for those who lurk... that this is only if Netscape can't be ininstalled in the conventional way, using Add/Remove.
