Mozilla 1.7 RC 3 Released

Gee, everyones burning midnight oil.
My IMAP account is "myrealbox ".
My POP3 is my primary ISP account.
IMAP / AOL sounds like a challenge in itself. If you would allow me to send you a email to your IMAP account, would be appreciated. Just going through process of elimination. If and when your ready, just PM me with your IMAP email address. Will return it back to you with my address so you can set up a filter.

Yes, I was able to copy to my POP3 account and view the message, no problems. I'll be interested in hearing what Westside comes up with. It might also be feasible to forward the email to someone with an IMAP account other than myrealbox...

Sent one on it's way, fresh form NASA. It auto-closed Mozilla 1.7 IMAP / brower when I opened it. Let us know what happens.

Thank you Westside for taking the time to test this IMAP problem. Westside reports he also had similar results when opening emails or opening links in email from info@jpl.nasa.gov .
A confusing problem, the same email crashes IMAP accounts, but works fine when opened from a POP3 account. Hopefully the "Agent" submissions will help Mozilla correct the problem. Would be interesting to know what is unique to info@jpl.nasa.gov emails that trigger this response. For a temporary solution, have changed my account with Nasa to receive "Plain Text ". Will see if this makes a difference.

With IMAP receiving "Plain Text" emails from Nasa, has resolved the issue. Hopefully many dozens of previously sent "Agent" reports will provide Mozilla enough info to correct the problem. When 1.7 final comes out, will switch back to HTML emails... if problems continues will let Agent report it.

After installing 1.7 final, opened up some Nasa / IMAP (HTML) emails in a stored folder.... problem continues, let Agent report it. No problems when Nasa emails recieved in Plain Text / IMAP. Minor problem for a wonderful browser/email client.

I would suggest complaining to the Newsletter staff.

I've previously sent an email 6/15/04 to NASA detailing the problem and directing them to this thread. Have not recieved a reply, will give them a week. If no reply
(of a concerned nature), will file reports. At this time, 50/50 odds if problem caused by a Nasa email / HTML compliance issue or Mozilla IMAP bug.

UPDATE
Ramona, did you happen to save the Nasa email I sent you, duplicating the same problem I experienced? If yes, could you try opening it in Final and report the results.
