Hey I been having probs with AOL or my computer I don't know what one but thought maybe you could help me. OK here goes one thing when I sign on to AOL I get a pop up box that says
(AN IMAGE ON THE UPCOMING WINDOW COULD NOT BE DISPLAYED CORRECTLY DUE TO LOW MEMORY, FOR BEST RESULTS TRY TO CLOSE UNUSED WINDOWS)
OK well that pops up like 3 or 4 times when I first sign on. So I guess that means I have to delete some stuff out of my computer. Well, I don't know what I could get rid of because it is not like I have tons and tons of stuff I have downloaded.

But I had notice all theses files in the file search and wondering if you knew what they were. They are all different names but there are a lot of them.

They are all in the C:/Windows folder and some are called
ALB FILES VFX FILES CFG FILES FIO FILES UPI FILES CNT FILES LCK FILES OCK FILE AB FILE CF FILE KRB FILE. THAT IS WHAT ARE ON THE END OF IT

And here are some of the names KBDLVL. KBD. kbd file
    STdole2.tlb tbl file

Now they are not all called that they are all called something diff but like I said there are a lot of them. Do you know what that is and is it something that I can delete? Well if you know let me know thanxs :)

Need more info to be of service, like Amount of RAM, Operating System (Win95, 98, ME, XP....), MHZ, Size of Hard Drive and Amount of free space. & Most importantly, the amount and what are they, the icons in the bottom right of your task bar, these are the programs that load upon start up - maybe you have too much running at once.

Sorry no help, but really need more info.

First off, I don't really have a solution, but rather an observation, when I had my Packerd Bell with a harddrive of of 6GB my Ram was 40MB. This was 2-3 years ago and it probably didn't have enough energy to run the latest AOL, 7?

So without knowing too much I would say that you have upgraded software past what what you computer can handle, try to go back to an old AOL CD & if you are using the lastest IE 6 this may be kind of tricky, since IE is so intergrated with the system software.

First Consult Microsoft's website to find out how to uninstall IE 6, It will be quite complicated, then uninstall AOL 7?, but remember your username & password. Then re-install an earlier version of AOL that will automatically re-install IE, if nesessary, then apply as current user of current username & password.

There is a program called IEradicator that will help in uninstalling IE but I think that is for versions below IE 6, do a search and read the small print.

By the way, I gave that Packerd Bell to my Mom & said that Win98 would not run very good on 40MB & also run other programs at the same time. Did you upgrade without upgrading memory & Hardrive?

P.S. in your run menu type "msconfig" without quotes then go to start tab & uncheck Paltalk & HP instant delivery, they are probably taking up way to mauch memory & probably are not needed at every boot up.
