Computer Won't Boot for 1 hour or more..

Three of My computers in a network Won't Boot for 1 hour or more.., then they automatically boot and the BIOS displays BIOS Checksum Error Press F1 to Countinue, it does not seems to be a weak Battery problem. Any suggestions.

 

Have these computers been off for a while or is it possible there has been a surge, typically, this is a problem with the CMOS battery running low.

You say that it does not seems to be a weak Battery problem, have you tried a new battery.

I just had three systems that were old and the same problem occured.
Replacing the battery worked.

Ya! the systems were Off for about Two-Months and there is no chance of surge as their is a UPS protecting them, also, during these two-months the power-supply was swithched off, also, i am ruling out the weak Battery prob. as other systems which came along with this lot are runing fine.

 

Still worth replacing the battery. Different current drain, different battery age, different battery condition = different uptime for a battery.

After this, may be worth updating the BIOS. If no newer BIOS then still reflash the BIOS again.
