This is driving me crazy. CNN.com and a few other web sites do not fill the entire width of my browser. Other web sites do. I thought the right margin setting was designed into the web site. I'm using WinXP , I recently bought a 19 inch LCD monitor. I give up. thanks.

I don't think you can do much for this. If you adjust your monitors resolution size for these sites, other sites will be hugh.

I have the same issue but it has to do with the way the web page code is written and nothing a user can do about it.

Most of the pages that behave this way do seem to be news related. Washington Post and a couple of tech newsletters do it with me.

If the real issue for you is the typeface being too small to comfortably read, post back because there are a couple of good ways to work around that.

I'd certainly be interested in that. I had to alter my default font size in Firefox.

The issue is not readability. I was hoping I had just missed a setting change or something with the new monitor.
I guess I'll just learn to accept it. Thanks for the suggestions.
