I know that in in nt and xp when you crtl+alt+del it brings up the task manager and from there you can control what processes are running on your computer but on 98 i dont have a tab for it can anyone tell me where i might find this prompt or what to do i have way to many processes running (100) last count.

    Thanks a ton

Are you thinking perhaps of msconfig...and the start up tab?

    Start....run....type in msconfig
    Click ok
Go to the start up tab.
Uncheck any unneeded apps from loading at start up.
    Click apply
    Click ok
It will ask to reboot. Do so.

Windows 98 does not have a built-in way to view running processes like XP.

However, a Google search for "view list windows 98 processes" yielded several links to third party software for viewing running processes that will work on 98.

    One is Process Viewer.
