I am running Windows 98 and have had a new sound card put on and since then I cannot get on to any sights on the internet unless I have an email which will direct me to the site.
I have lost my "address bar" also.
On the line which has Back, Forward, Stop etc. the last 2 boxes say "Links" and then right over on the farright hand side is "Address" but I do not have anywhere to put in an address....can any one suggest anything please!
The toolbar which I am using is the Yahoo Companion Toolbar but this doesn't let me go to any sites!!!
Keeps bringing up "this page cannot be dispalyed "
I have also reinstalled IE6 which hasn't helped.
I got onto this site by going into my "Links"
    Please help!!!

Your address bar is there, it just got moved, maybe by the Yahoo bar when it was installed.
First right click on the toolbar, you should get a small window, make sure Lock the Toolbars does not have a checkmark, if there remove it. Now look at the word Address, to the left there is a faint grey vertical line, hover your mouse over it until it changes to a double arrow, left click and hold and move it over, left or right. To the left things will be moved or you may not have the room, to the right it will move down eventually.
Alternately you can do this to the Yahoo bar, or uncheck it in the right click menu and it will disappear.
