I have a sign on problem which is obviously pretty simple but I can't seem to be able to solve.

To sign on across W2k workstations I use the following line.

    NET USE \\My Computer\ipc$ mypassword

With Windows XP on my reading of the documentation the same command should work on both os.

However when I use a Windows XP workstation to log onto a W2k workstation I get the following message

System Error 1326 unknown user name or password

Why does this work in one os and not the other?

    Any explanation much appreciated
