I've been given an M$ Word document containing photographs of family members. How can I copy these out into jpg or other graphic formats? I can only copy into other Word documents it seems ...

Cilck on the image to 'highlight'/select it > right click > Copy .....

Open an image Editor with a new, blank document > Paste > save as jpg, but I don't think you will care for the result :)

I guess very little image data is embedded in the Word doc - the colours posterise.

Not sure if this will work but here goes...

Create a copy of the Word doc (in case does not work). Open copied doc in Word then save as a Web page. Choose Desktop to save files to. You should then have a folder on the desktop with the same name as the *.htm file you just created. Inside the folder should be some jpg's or gif's or bmp's of the pics in the Word doc.

I create work instructions at work for all my software installs and use "alt/PrtScn" to capture the install windows...when I save the file as an *.htm file it creates copies of the pics in the folder.

Like I said it may not work but could not hurt to try... :D
