    Hi
I have an All in Wonder card and a LG DVD player. When I loaded the ATI software it said I was in Region 1. I put in a Region 1 DVD and it immediately changed to Region 2 and will not play the DVD.

I have had this problem forever, I have never been able to play a Region 1 DVD although I always checked Region 1 when installing the ATI software.
    Do you have any idea's
    Thanks
    Lewis

Have you checked which region your DVD player is set to ? Look at Properties of your player in Device Manager. Be aware that only a limited no. of region changes are permitted.

My DVD player is set at Region 2 which is our part of the world I guess.

    LG DVD All in Wonder

    Hi Petec
I set my DVD to region 1 as I am in Canada for the time being. It was never set for any other region.
I have tried looking in device manager as you suggest but there is no regional info there
If there are any other ideas I would like to hear them as I would like to watch a DVD
    Thanks
    Lewis

No DVD Region Tab under properties of the LG - strange.

Only other suggestion is try another DVD decoder - PowerDVD would appear to allow a region change.

A great piece of software to take a look at is Region Free by DVDidle. This will allow you to run any DVD without the need for changing the setting for your drive and also disable the Macrovision.

It will auto-start when any DVD program is launched too.

    Andy.
