Am running XP Professional and have just come thru a hard drive crash, getting rid of Netscape 7.1 with all the problems encountered and am now trying Mozilla 1.7.

Have three profiles, 2 are set up as Administrators (me and my husband). My profile is fine, I can send emails with and without attachements and don't seem to have any problem.

My husbands profile, I thought identical to mine, won't allow him to send e-mail with attachments unless I disable the Privacy Service component of McAfee.

Any thoughts on what is prventing him sending mail.

Question #2 - how do I get options on my toolbar? I only have Home and Bookmarks, even though I've also cheked Search and Print in preferences. Also how do I add Mail to that toolbar?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the Forum, lashman!

    Hi lashman,

I don't know anything about Windows XP Administrator privileges, so can't help you there. You might check out these pages for help with the XP Administrator privileges: Windows-Help.NET, Windows XP. Can two people have Administrator privileges?

It looks pretty obvious that McAfee is the cause of not being able to receive Mail. You might want to look at their site for help on this issue.

It would take a hack to get the Mail button on your Toolbar. It is already on the lower left Toolbar? I have asked on the MozillaZine Forum if anyone knows about a hack, or perhaps an extension that includes the Mail Button, but I doubt if there is such an extension.

    Ramona,
it looks like some problem in your link. I get :www.windows-help.nehttp which does not exist. I have dispensed of the Administrator/User hierarchy, with no problem. The solution may be, as the administrator can use the program:

To start a program as an administrator:
In Windows Explorer, click the program executable file that you want to open.
Press and hold SHIFT, right-click the program icon, and then click Run as.
    Click The following user.
In User name and Password, type the Administrator account name and password that you want to use.

I am sure that Mcafee has something to do with the anomaly, but if it works with one, it should with the other users.
