Win:98se: In system properties (General) the amount of installed RAM is not being reported properly. Shows only 56M. when should be 96M. Could this be in bios settings..Thankyou......D.Matura

It would be interesting what the (free) Aida program reports for your memory
size. If you do not have this very useful program, go to the Other Software
Board on this BBS and read the first post.

Run MSCONFIG > Advanced tab and ensure that you do not have Limit Memory selected.
Also, do you have a graphics card that could be using ram.

IE: Is this a 64MB PC upgraded with 32MB, and a 8MB graphics card. AND, msconfig is set to limit it to 64?

    RAM not being displayed correctly

The display adapter is:SiS530(on MMB), RAM is 64M with 32M added. I could not find limit to 64M in MSCONFIG.....I can definately tell that the computer is running faster with the additional 32M RAM but still not showing up as should be in sys.properties (general). Did run Aida utility and it does show the RAM at 95M. & 1M......Den.........................MAYBE this dumb thing is dead but too dumb to fall over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
