Maybe we could try creating it? It wouldn't hurt....

Copy and paste the following to Notepad and save it to your desktop as CSD.reg

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows]
    "CSDVersion "=dword:00000000

Once saved to your desktop, double click on it to merge the info to your registry. Reboot and try again?

At this point it's worth a shot......

Nope, for some reason that didn't work either. When i click "Scan for Updates" it stop responding and then responds again and keeps on for like 3 mins. I have to keep clicking on the thing. And whne it does load it says it failed.

I don't know what You mean by w/e but if a full format never works, I personally would find out why.

Did You try to remove the existing partition(s) and recreating prior to trying a full format?

I'm sorry but I can't think of anything else. I don't understand why You're not being able to do a full format.
