I couldn't help noticing while doing a pre-emptive search for this that AOL version 9 is known to have a bug problem with it's version of this file versus winxp's version and "system file protection ". You, as an AOL user, and privy to their support should check with said same and see what their work around for this problem is. Perhaps they've come up with a patch by now.

Please keep post updated should my guesstimate be accurate and AOL has the work around/fix.

Did alot of browsing on this one... it rarely came as a singlar problem... generally was coupled with install of other software.. most common was AOL 9.x, Norton/Symantec, IE 5x, or connection problem with internet... but there was numerous others. Can you provide more information when you receive the error message. Information from the screen, what program are you loading....?
