I am new to Modzilla and I was wondering what it meant when you get the pop-up connection refused.

    Thanks

    missmissy,

    I can mean several things:
That you have an entry in your HOSTS prohibiting the page from loading. See if you have a HOSTS file, and if so, temporarily rename it to XHOSTS
Can you access the site now?

Try the same site in Internet Explorer and post the error message you get, including the information at the bottom of the page.

You might also try some routine maintenance:
    Close Mozilla and Quick Launch:
Try renaming your cookies.txt file in your *.slt folder, and let Netscape rebuild the file.
    (Profiles Folder Location)
    Delete your Cache folder
    Delete your history.dat file
    Delete your XUL.mfl file
    Delete all your C:\WINDOWS\temp files

Let us know if you continue to have problems.

thanks I guess that the site is just gone.

    www.redstarhackers.com

It is supposed to be a site dedicated to helping learn about hackers.

I get page can't be displayed in IE.

I have 2 hosts files one that is hosts and one lmhosts (is this for if you are on a lan?) I am on a small home network.

Thank you very much. I just wasn't used to that error. I have alot to learn about modzilla

    missmissy,

I also receive the "Connection refused" error on the link.

Sometimes an entry will be added to the HOSTS file, such as: doubleclick.net and if the site you are trying to access has an ad using doubleclick.net, then you won't be able to enter the site. It has nothing to do with a Lan, but users often use the HOSTS file to deter spyware.
