Try putting this into your browser address bar and clicking GO. Let us know what happens.

    Code:

How are you attempting to connect to the internet?
    Dial up?
    DSL? w/router?
    Cable? w/router?
    Computer by itself or networked?

rickielee01 - doing it by IP address was a diagnostic thing to rule out DNS issues as the cause of your problem. If it had been simply a DNS issue, by name would fail but by IP would work.

The winsock fix Daizy suggested is a good idea and certainly can't hurt.

Other possibility that comes to mind is a firewall issue where you are blocking yourself.

And the info TJ-IT asked for will help if neither of those is the problem.
