I've just upgraded to XP. I do a lot of FAXING. I go to WORD; write the FAX; print it; send it on my FAX machine; then throw away my copy. I also receive a lotta FAX's. Is there any way to just have my PC send & receive the FAX's? I'm online via a cable modem.

Windows has a pretty good fax program for what you do. But you need a regular modem. Go into add/remove: Windows setup. Add the fax.

From Word files, you open the Word file and send the fax. It can be set up to receive. But since you already have a fax machine, it might be just as easy to leave it there.

And no problems at all running internet over broadband and faxing with a dial-up modem. They don't mess with each other.

It seems XP Fax is much slower than Win Fax Pro, bcoz I have tried both and I found that Win Fax Pro is more user friendly and have faster speed than XP fax, especially when it goes to receiving fax (XP fax seems doesn't have good receiving).Btw I heard what those guys told me that Win Fax Pro is not compatible with Win XP. Is it true?or is there any other better faxing software recommend?TQ.
