First post, and I searched, but please forgive me if this has been covered... have found the same problem posted in 4 other groups, but no answer: Upgraded a new HP 7140 from XP Home to XP Professional. Most everything works except Network/Internet Connnection Wizard. After selecting the option in wizard to manually set up a connection, the following window should give me the option to select dial up. However, broadband is already selected and the dial up option is greyed out (ghosted). Cannot deselect Broadband.

Reloaded Home version and set up a connection with no problem, but when I upgraded to Pro again, my dial-up option was again unavailable.... Please. Need to move on this, so if anyone can provide some insight, it would be appreciated. best

Thanks for the link. Even though I am not upgrading from Win98, decided to give it a try anyhow. Went through both steps with no resolution... in fact, now ALL options are ghosted... weird.
