Some pages seem not to permit it if you have set IE View|Encoding at AutoSelect. Fiddle with the other settings under IE View Encoding. Try especially Western European (ISO) and Western European (Windows). For example that works here on WindowsBBS, which otherwise uses Unicode (UTF8).

Have you been to windows update site after installing ME?

If view source doesn't work for any pages, try the IE repair feature. Goto control panel-add & remove programs-when you click to remove Microsoft Internet Explorer a menu will pop up-choose repair. Remember to go back to Windows update site after running repair. The repair feature uses your IE install log and your updates may be gone.

To view the source of a web page which tries to stop the viewing, click in the address bar and type- view-source: before the http of the URL, hit enter and a notepad window of the source should pop up.

View source not available in XP either

Although this posting was for ME - the same happenes in XP.
A lot of web pages allow you to just right click and view source.
Nowdays a lot of them are locked.

That suggestion about typing in view source first (in the address area just don't work for me).

Hey, I'm not trying to steal other folks stuff - was just curious to see if that suggestion worked on pages we know are not allowing right clicks.

Try it on this page and you'll not get the source code.

If you do, let us know what we did wrong !

Speaking of "wrong" - hey, we could be wrong - have been on more than one occassion !
