These are my registry settings under Control Panel/International

    iTime 1
    iTime Prefix 0
    iTLZero
    Locale 00000409
    s1159 blank
    s2359 blank
    --------------------------
    Control Panel
    Regional Options (Customize)

    Time Format HHmmss
    AM/PM blank

End Result Wanted: 2400 hour military time w/seconds showing.
Can't set the time so that 00:00:00 shows on the desktop

Have made minor recommended changes/reboot but still find hours and minutes/no seconds. Thanks for any suggestions.

I wasn't aware there was an option in Windows to show the seconds in the taskbar clock display?
Double clicking the clock icon I believe is the only way to display seconds (in the clock applet)

Nothing in NT / Win2000 / XP can handle this request. The Regional settings only handle the use of Time formats in your / Microsoft / Third-Party applications, whilst the System Clock operates in it's only little world.

Best try using a replacement utility:

    http://www.zdnet.com/downloads/

Type: Clock in the Search For box, then click on the GO button. When the results come up, scroll through and find the Windows XP compatible clock utilities that have the features you're looking for. You will need to install the utility upon your machine before you can use it

This clock will do what you wish and probably more.
It doesn't say it works with XP but I have been using it for three months with no problems. :)
