When I first boot up, I get following msg.
    C:\C:\progra1\networ1\mcafee1\scanpmexe C:\
    BAd COMMAND OR FILE NAME
I think this is accurate since the msg only appears for short time. I have e-mailed McAfee techs several times.
This is what $26.69 buys you.

    "Email Message not sent because:
The messages limit is reached for the department mail queue. "

My subscription is up pretty soon. Any AV out there better??

    Tnx. Neil

    Hello neil,

You can start here w/ performance compares: http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/about/index.xml

You didn't specify OS - on 9X NOD32 beause light on resources and highly effective. On Xp run NAV2002 - however, I wouldn't recommend NAV2004, too much of a resource hog and tough to get rid of!!!

If you're looking for a free AV - anyone that uses Grisoft's AVG likes it a great deal - can't personally attest to it's effectivness.

    Regards - Charles

This sounds like a 9x OS. Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\, right click on Autoexec.Bat and select Edit.
    You will see this line.
    C:\progra~1\networ~1\mcafee~1\scanpmexe C:\
Edit the line to be like this,
    rem C:\progra~1\networ~1\mcafee~1\scanpmexe C:\
The only thing you are doing is adding 'rem', so the line is ignored.
    Or delete the line.
This is the bootup dos scanner for MacAffee, and the file is not being found. If you want that scanner to work, do a Find for that file.
    No charge for this.

Windows Explorer is not the same as Internet Explorer. Windows Explorer allows you to access the files on your drives. The Internet Explorer is for browsing the internet, although it will browse files on your drives also.
S & H green stamps are no longer available, lol.
