keyboard key malfunction

Iève used registry mechanic for the last two months and it seems to work fine. But typing this reminded me that I have a newly developed problem regarding the question mark and the apostrophe keys. The following is what appears in Word or OE. èÈ or Éé for both keys. Iève tried language settings with no success. ANyone have suggestions.

 

Hi, Does the problem persist if you change the Font in a document ?
Also, does the fault persist if you delete the file Windows/ttfcache then
reboot and open a new/existing Word document ?

Merlin - - I cant enter that file because the slash appears as follows: É or é
Now that I check there are several keys which give different fonts. The letter keys work small case and capitalized and all of the number keys.

 

Merlin - - I solved the keyboard problem myself. Earlier in the week I had been trying to familiarize myself with the various settings and apparently accidently changed the keyboard settings. For anyone interested, the path is:start/control panel/keyboard/language/properties.
