Cannot use Windows update (0x800C0005)

Below is the error I receive - Can anyone help? Thanks I have tried Google with the error # and tried their fixes - no luck so far.

I was getting the same error.....After trying many things I tried turning off my firwall temporarily....and surprise it worked I was able to do the update...mayber it will work for you...

 

There are three services that must be enabled in Admin Tools:
BITs
Auto Update
Event Log (can't be disabled anyway)
for MS ver 5 WU to work.

Also, if you have your browser locked down to not run scripts, etc, you will not be able use WU unless you temporarily give permissions.
