before I can help you with hiajckthis I suggest you close all programs that show in the taskbar and in control panle addremove programs uninstall
Uninstall P2P Networking through Add/Remove Programs.While off line. If/when asked whether you also want to remove Altnet components, say 'Yes'.
P2P Networking is a totally useless Kazaa add-on, and it's been reported to be responsible for serious system slowdowns.
Subsequently remove the P2P Networking folder in C:\Windows\System, if still there.
and the allthenet folder to,C:\Program Files\Altnet

I suggest you uninstall kazaa and or anyother filesharring programs to, we can link you to safer filesharing programs later

I would also like to recommend getting rid of Messenger Plus 2 It is third party MSN Messenger extension Not recommended as it includes Lop.com - Start>Control Panel>Add Remove Programs and look for it in the list there. If you find it, please Remove it with the Change/Remove button. There are other safer Instand Messenging Programs.

i got in serious trouble when my parents went online

first of all i ran spy bot, than house call and i ran a rapid blaster infection thing(it found nothing), and the new version cwshredder. it removed things but didnt fix my problem.

my browser has been hacked by a **** cite but i havent looked at any. when i load my internet up it goes to HTTP:/devils****.com/
it i change it in internet options it goes back to HTTP:/devils****.com/

but if i go to another site www.imdb.com it works fine. but if i go to a cite like imdb.com it goes back to HTTP:/devils****.com/

I did a slight edit of the above and below - Markp62

it seems to change if i dont put a www. infront of the adress.

You should realy uninstall messenger plus But thats somewhat optional.

Start Hijackthis and place a check next to these items
Close all browser windows and shut down all other programs(even Folders)
that show in the taskbar. Then Hit fix checked

They probably installed the keylogger, thinking you are going places you shouldn't while online, and you may get in even more trouble if you disable it. Suggest you mention to them that it is also a security threat and should be removed. Better yet, have one of your parents post in and we can advise them of what to remove and why.

Go start run type msconfig> startup tab and uncheck either nortons startups of AVG's. would probaly be better to uninstall one or the other

Question for the security folks.

His log shows C:\Program Files\KaZaA Lite\Kazaa.exe and from memory, Kazaa Lite was supposed to be a reasonably spyware-free version.

However, all the info I can dredge up about kazaa.exe points to Sharman Networks and the regular (malware loaded, does bad things to the PC) KaZaA.

Any thoughts as to exactly what is running on this PC?

KazaaLite.kpp is KazaaLite.

Maybe the folder name in Program Files got changed??

Run Spybot and Ad-aware. Delete all they find. Then use the immunize feature in Spybot. Click the link on that page for Spywareblaster too. Download and install, then update. Then download and install IE Spyads.

I see you're running AVG and Norton both. Not a good idea. Suggest you disable one, if not remove.
